3DWORX uses fused deposition modeling (FDM), a process where a plastic filament is heated and pushed through a printer extruder head to create precise 3D objects. The printer head is operated via computer-aided design resulting in a 3D object or model with a printing accuracy of +/- 0.1mm.  Filament materials include PLA, ABS, TPU, copper, wood, carbon fiber, and color gradient.
